I tried my best NOT to go look!

I found out about this 123 last week... I wasn't gonna go look but I messed up and did! It was 5 miles from the house... I think I have a problem with bringing home Cub Cadets!!
I wound up bringing home this old 123 and a BUNCH of other random stuff.. The guy wanted to sell EVERYTHING all as a bundle... Here is a quick rundown of what came home today.... 123 with weights and three point and some not so nice "custom" mods (runs well... hydro is quiet and responsive... sheet metal is better than it looks)... a complete parts 70 with a 12hp sitting in it... Transaxle for an original... Midwest Cub pulling clutch.. A Brinly bottom plow, scrape blade, harrow, ... A nice IH front blade, part of a IH landscape rake, new carburetor for a 12hp... John Deere 110 fenders and a pickup truck load of misc Cub Cadet parts! I'll get more pics as I unload! Dates are wrong on pics... didn't realize my camera said it was 2004! I just couldn't walk away.... but now what to do with all this stuff??!:bigthink: |
Nice find on the 123, Jay!

Well look at that. The ultra rare colored model to boot.:biggrin2:
Congrats on the 123 and all the extras Jay.:beerchug: |

The 123 is a solid and very fun tractor to own! You did well to score it with all of those goodies. I kind of like the aluminum painted wheel weights....different, in a cool way, look. Have lots of fun on your score!

That 122 looks a bit better than my score yesterday... at least they didn't spray can the whole tractor like mine!! I've got to hold off adding anymore to the herd!! No time to play with them and all my sheds are filling up!!:beerchug: But thanks for the offer!!:beerchug: |

I like the simplicity of the early models... very little plastic and most everything can be repaired or rebuilt many times! Seems the 123 is one of the last models before they started playing with fiberglass and plastic! |
Nice find on the murdered out 123 and extras Jay. Lots of cool extra parts and attachments. Also seeing a trend lately. You, Lew, and myself all scored tractors recently with speed knobs. I gotta say they make a world of difference steering these things. Congrats on that one.

Thanks Mike!! Dad has been using the speed knobs on his cadets since his first 100 in the late 60's! I have found they work even better with the CCC 3 turn steering box. The steering is in such bad shape on this 123 that the knob isn't much use!:biggrin2: You have to strong arm it!!:beerchug: |
