46" GT deck
I have a 46" GT deck on an 1811. The 1811 will not raise the deck high enough to raise the wheels off the ground. I've got the mule drive adjusted so that it should raise it high enough but maybe this deck is only for the cyclops series? I've got 3 different mule drives and all look the same (nothing bent up)... There is a little adjustment left on the mule drive but I doubt it will be enough... :bigthink: any ideas?

46GT is listed as a deck for the 1811. All I can think of is that you have the wrong lift links on it. Post some pics.

You may have sheared pins in your rock shaft. I have the same mower with 1862 (same lifting mechanism) with a similar problem.

46gt deck
46gt was made for the 1810 and 1811 series tractors. It will work on a 782D
they were not popular due to the height of the deck it will not raise very high. I like the deck for the lift it puts out. I use it with a trac vac for leaves in the fall. And to collect some grass clippings for the garden. Wear earplugs as they are loud. |
At one time, I had five tractors with the 46" GT deck. 1641's, 1860, 1862, and an 1810. All of them would get the wheels several inches off the ground except the one I have left on a 1863 which I keep around to use with an EZ Vac. The dealer told me the reason they were discontinued was because they windrowed the clippings too bad and that they will do but they sure suck up leaves.
I converted all my tractors I cut grass with to the 48" and 54" decks for a better cut and they raise just as high as the 46" they replaced. |
Can a person mount them to a super without modification to the mule drive?:bigthink: My 1811 will lift the deck about an inch or two... I will try to get a few pics tomorrow...

How far down do you have your guage wheels set?
No mods, just move your subframe to the rear most holes on the mule drive. |

Well, figured out my problem! Pin fell out of the cylinder!

That'll do it!
