149 mule drive belt question
 

I just purchased 2 belts from Patton acres. 1 for the mule drive and 1 for the 44 inch deck. The mower belt went on perfect true blue 78. The mule drive belt seemed to be a 1" big. The old belt 59971. The new belt a stems number265 037.. I think he sent the wrong belt. Need some advice

Wrong belt. Looking at the Stens package it for a IH-49048-R2 which is 1/2" X 80" and fits a 38 or 42 inch deck. The IH-59971-C1 is the correct belt for a 44 or 50 inch deck. It is 3/8" X 78.

went to oriellys picked up a gates 1/2 by 78, installed just finished cutting my acre and the mowing deck ran smooth ,so ill have to return the other belt ..I do love my old iron,and the new to me 149..thanks for the help
