Tulsa Engine Warehouse order?
1 Attachment(s)
Would you say it's okay to order the following items for my 1979 CC 1650 (16HP K341AQS) tractor from Tulsa Engine Warehouse?
This is a tractor project for my son and I'm already in for more money that I planned. I do want to save, but I do not want to be too cheap that I regret it later. Ignition Points $5.05 SKU: #29-1015 Carburetor Repair Kit $6.62 SKU: #06-1029 Gas Cap $11.19 SKU: #24-1015 Spark Plug Wire $4.94 SKU: #29-1107 VLV SPRG COMP $14.75 SKU: #19063 Air Filter $4.97 SKU: #Stens 100-107 Gasket Set W/Oil Seals $21.09 SKU: #26-1016 Thanks, Kevin |
Prices look good to me.....
I buy from other places though. |
I've ordered from TEW many times over the years. Very good service, more than fair prices and helpful folks. I'd say pull that trigger.

I've never had issues with the parts. Got my most recent order two weeks ago

I've been buying most my stuff local. Time you pay shipping, it's not any cheaper. I bought a coil online a few years ago and it crapped out within a few months.

Only thing that concerns me is the points... cheap points always come back to bite you in the butt... They usually don't hold up very long... Id go for a set of Genuine Kohler points if possible... just my opinion:beerchug:
I'd also recommend local if possible... it helps support local merchants and much easier for returns if needed... most of the time it's not much more than ordering online |
Yup, I do most of my buying from my local dealer. He's there today when I need something today. And if we all ordered outside, he won't be there tomorrow when I need something tomorrow.:beerchug:
But then again, my dealer knows his stuff, and treats me like a friend, and that makes a difference... As Jay mentioned, by the time you pay shipping it's going to cost the same or even more in some circumstances. When I order something he doesn't have, which is a rare occurrence, he puts it on his order and don't cost me a dime in shipping. |
Another good thing about buying local, least for me my neighbor works for an auto parts store and I get primeline stuff at cost! Lol

Yep, between NAPA and Lawn Mower Parts in Bellmawr, NJ I'm in good shape. Lawn Mower Parts in Bellmawr, NJ is awesome for old engines like these. They also had Tecumseh HH120 valve springs I needed and the guys there know their stuff.
Thanks for the advice and I know TEW is also there when I need them. |
