A family friend up the street from me gifted me this 105 and a handful of implements. He said it ran just fine when he parked it 5 years ago. It was under a tree at a rental property of his and was covered in weeds and mud.

Its my first garden tractor, but I know my way around small engines. Not sure what sort of upgrades/direction I want to go yet, need to spend some time going through the older post. He said it was difficult to raise and lower the implements, looks like there are some options to fix that.

Ill post up some photos in a moment.

That will be a fun tractor!

Make sure it has a spring assist on the rear 3 point.. that will help tremendously with lifting the implements!:biggrin2:

And we do like pictures!!!:biggrin2:

You certainly have a generous friend. Those attachments can be worth some serious folding money. Congratulations!

You have a some really great stuff there, congratulations.

The reason the implements are hard to lift is because they're heavy as "heck".

After you get it running and driving, get yourself a spring assist (as mentioned earlier) it will make lifting those things easier.

Go back and see if he has the long belt for the tiller... They're about a hundred bucks by themselves.

You need to give that person a big ol' kiss right on the mouth!!

All you have to do is spend a little money fixing it up and you are set for a long time. I would take it to the car wash and clean up everything well, drain the old fuel, fill with some non ethanol gas and give it a whirl, it may run like a top.

If not, you have come to the right place for help!

Oh, change the oil too!

Nice gift congrats.
