1250 wiring diagram

Which of these wiring schematics should I be using on my 1250? Notice the post positions on the PTO clutch switch. I cannot get the PTO to engage thru the switch. I've tried 2 switches and they both tested ok with a multimeter. I've set the clutch with the feeler guage by the book.

There is NOTHING wrong with either Diagram's PTO Switch.

AS A TEST..... jumper across Terminals A & B on the PTO SW. Provided that the PTO, Ignition Switch, the PTO Fuse, and wiring is correct and good....your PTO should engage.

Have you got juice to the clutch when the switch is on?
bad fuse?
broken wire at or to the clutch?
Time to break out the test light.
Try jumping directly to the clutch w/a hot wire.
You should be able to hear the clutch "click" when/if it engages.

I did hot wire jump from positive on solenoid to wire coming out of PTO clutch and it did engage. So PTO clutch is good. I tested 2 PTO switches that I have and they are both good. I have a brand new wiring harness in from Malmar. I've talked to him and he said he could have made a mistake. He offered to make it right but I said let me look into more cause it still could be something on my end. I'm no electrician for sure lol. I will try and post pic of the wire side of PTO switch and maybe someone will spot something? There is a brown wire coming from plastic plug that plugs into PTO switch that is marked (fuse). There is another Brown wire that comes out of harness that is marked (fuse) also. There are two 10 amp fuses on tractor. One fuse I know is for lights only. So could these two Brown wires marked (fuse) go to the other 10bamp fuse? So what I'm saying is can 2 wires be hooked to one fuse?

IF....the wiring harness you bought is suppose to be correct, the PTO wires would be TAN.

So, let's say they are brown instead of tan. You will have one brown wire going to the Fuse (10A) and the other going to the PTO itself.

I have taken my diagram, and isolated the PTO circuit and eliminated all the other stuff. There are four wires going to the PTO Switch. Two Orange (Start Circuit) and two Tan (or brown) wires for the PTO Circuit.

AS A TEST....You could simply connect (jump or touch) the two brown wires together and the PTO should engage....PROVIDED... you have: A good Igntion Switch (in on position), good Fuse, and properly wired.
