Bolt size for the tunnel cover on a 582 special
 

Just curious what size of bolts would work for this. I lost a couple of the originals and am just curious on what size as a replacement. Thanks everyone. There should be 4 of them if I'm correct.

The original Tunnel Cover screws were a Phillips Head 12-24 x 1/2. They maybe a tad hard to find at your local hardware store. On my 782, I drilled and tapped those mounting holes for a standard 1/4-20 screw. Much easier to find.

yep, a pita to find the style that came out of it. The dealer charges about $2.50 per screw. McMaster has them in different head styles.
