Serial #57596
I thought I saw a list of serial #'s telling what tractor it is. Can't find it. Serial # 57596. What tractor is it? Thanks and have a great day.

Here's the chart.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=7114 Looks like it's a 63 so it's either a 70 or 100 depending on engine size. |
With that low number it's more that likely an Original built in May of '63
70-100 production started w ser #65458 thru #127160 beginning in Aug of 63 Source: Oscar H. Wills 50 Years of Cub Cadet |
A pic would help.

This is correct. Only, it's not just likely to be an "O".... it WILL BE an "O". |

Serial #
Thanks for all the reply's. The tractor is in an ad bulletin and I do not have a picture. Man said it had a rope start on it and he put a s/g on it. It starts but does not charge. Did any of the early tractors come with out a s/g? He wants $250.00 for it. It has no fenders but it may come from the factory with out them. He said it had a rear lift on it. Motor runs and gears work. Would it be worth the price? Have a great day.

Pull start is a pretty rare option. If it works and not broken, that alone is worth the asking price. Fenders were optional.

Went to look at the tractor That I posted the serial # on. Have attached pictures. It started and ran. Smoked at start up but cleared out a bit after running, but still smoked a little. Engine does have a pulley for a pull start. Transmission went in all gears and moved. Clutch and brake seemed to work ok. Big plate attached to steering box was very loose. Looked like a bolt had backed out. Mule drive pulleys were frozen and it did not look like it was for this tractor. Mower deck looked to be for a wide frame or narrow frame, but not for this tractor. Does have a rear lift on tractor. Guy's in the know, please jump in and let me know what every thing is and is it worth $250.00? will attach more pictures with 2nd posting.
Thanks and have a great day. Bob |
