Cub 72 needs tires!
My Cub 72 is in need of new tires, they appear to be original!
I am looking for some front tire recommendations. I want to give it more of a "tractor" look, my local farm supply store just has wheelbarrow tires. I would like to get something like the Deestone 4.00-8 ribbed tires. Does anyone on the forums have any experience with them? Will they fit my stock wheels? Or does anyone have other recommendations? Thanks! |
This tire is on my IH Cub Cadet 100 (Deestone) :

I had the deestone's on my 122 and I really liked them, they looked great and steered easy.

Deestone's look good, and seem to steer easy... And don't cost a arm and a leg.:beerchug: Got em' on the "O"

Sounds like the Deestones are the way to go. Thanks for your feedback.

I posted once upon a time, a picture of those deestone tri-rib tires. In the picture it shows that there is a very small footprint for that tire, making steering exceptionally easy. I compared them to the narrow ag tires for the front, which also have about the same footprint and steer comparably the same. I have both on my cubs and do not notice the difference of one or the other.
