What hoods can be used on a Cub Cadet 100

Hello. I am new to the forum and recently picked up a Cub Cadet 100. The previous owner trimmed an inch off the length of the hood so I am looking for a replacement. Are all the narrow frame hoods the same size and shape? Thanks for your help.

Only the 70 or 100. Make sure the front of the frame isn't bent back a bit. The reason most 70/100 hoods get cut is they take a hit in the front that bends the frame up a touch and the hood hits the steering wheel trying to open.

Thank you for your quick reply. I do not see anything obvious on the front of the cub to indicate a hit but will look deeper.

I'm sure ksanders is exactly correct with his diagnosis of your situation.

If the top of the grill shell is pushed back an inch or so, it will only make a tiny kink in the tops of the frame rails where the grill shell bolts on (almost unnoticeable without removing the grill shell for inspection).

An easy way to temporarily relieve the problem is to put a flat washer or two (on each side) between the grill shell and frame where the rear bolts go through.

My 100 was the same way a couple flat washers, I could open the hood again without losing a finger against the steering wheel.
