Battery size for 982
 

What are you 982 owners running for a battery? I am running the same huskee exide battery in the 782 as the 982, problem is the battery sets up just high enough in the 982 where it contacts the seat pan. Only difference I see between the two is the tray isn't as deep in the 982 to account for the dipstick on the trans. Currently just have a 2x4 between the seat and the fenders

..I just put a plastic spray can cap over the positive terminal or any plastic ring laying around. problem solved ...:beerchug:
My seat pan doesn`t actually touch the terminal but is close ..The seat rubber mounts keep it from going that low..
Battery is Exide part #U1XM 350CCA.

I'm running the mid amp sized lawn and garden battery from NAPA. On anything that has the positive cable too close to a seat/cover/frame I wrap a section of old inner tube around the end and secure with cable ties.
