Changed blades, not happy, right ones?

I've got a 38" mowing deck on my 100.
I recently found some NOS small outer blades for it and ONLY replaced the outer ones. After installing them, I'm not sure I have the right blades or maybe I didn't level the deck correctly or??
My problem is that they seem to be scalping even with the deck in float mode.
I've got deck limiter so that it rests in the fully up position, but I'm still having issues. The new blades also don't mulch as well as the old ones. They just blow it all out the discharge and there are a lot more clippings.

So, what do you guys think?
I've attached a pic of the underside of my deck with the new outer blades installed.

Can anyone provide me with part numbers for the long inner blade and the small outer ones? The blades I got don't have a part number and just say rotary mower blades.

thanks

Well.... they aren't mulching blades. They shouldn't mulch.

Looks right to me. :Unknown:

I don't see any Deck Baffles. Where are they..???

Yeah, but the old ones weren't mulching blades either.
The old ones do have a different flare that apparently makes a difference.

The baffles haven't been on it since I've owned it (3 years or so).

After I got this deck dialed in about a year ago it did a fantastic job on the grass.
Now, not so much.

I found some part numbers at this link:

I missed the missing baffles. They do make a difference.

Make some.... :biggrin2:

I'll make some baffles, I have some metal leftover from repairing a floor section on my Travelall.

Any tips on leveling these decks? It's the pin on style. I have a mower blade cutting gauge that I use right now to make sure the side to side is spot on.
The only adjusting area I have are the 2 eye bolts that hang the deck in the front.

i dont think the baffles make much of a difference, my 48" deck cut better before i put new baffles in.

I know that this deck can make a beautiful lawn W/O baffles, that's why I'm confused about the new outer blades screwing everything up so much.

see page 39 for part #'s

I do believe the blades have #'s stamped on them also.
