LED headlights?
What are some nice LED headlights? I went with 50watt GE bulbs, but they run the battery down. I don't think the generator can keep up.

A normal headlamp rated at 50W will draw about 4.2 Amps. Running two would be 8.4 Amps. The Charging system on a Cub Cadet, if all is working as it should, will put out 15 Amps. There should be more than enough charging to handle two 50W headlamps.

Well I'm not sure, but after blowing snow the last blizzard for a few hours with the headlights on- when I shut the tractor off to clear a clog- it would barely turn over. When I turned the lights off, it held a charge just fine. I don't think LED's would hurt in any case.

LED Headlamps would less amperage than the traditional incandescent type.
BTW, the normal & correct incandescent lamps that Cub Cadet used were #4411, that were 35W rated. |
