Blade Friction Washer

I'm getting my 48" deck put back together for the 125. Looking at the mower deck exploded diagram from IH, there's a friction washer used on top of the blade. When i took mine apart, it only had 2 round flat washers, one on each side of the blade. I'm pretty sure the top one was not a friction washer.

So, I've got to order some more parts this week. Should I order the friction washer too? Anyone noticed their blade slipping with just regular washers?

All mine just have a regular washer and work with no issue.

The friction washer goes on first, then the blade, then the washer, then the nut.
Most,if not all older decks have the friction washer, never seen one on a cyclops deck.

My "friction washer's" are cut out of the card stock (The back) from the pack of a pad of school paper.
Been working like that for years.
