Memorial Day Parade
 

I entered my 1000 pulling a trailer with my wife and two boys in our town's Memorial Day Parade. The boys are 5 and 7 and had a great time.

I grew up on this Cub Cadet while helping neighbors who had no children maintain their property. They gave me the 1000 years later. I brings back memories every time I use it.

I should have posted this picture a few weeks ago but I was really busy at work and at home. I hope you enjoy it.

This kind of activity can be very fun and a great way to get seat time. I have a similar set-up that uses my 1250 in parades to promote my employer and its services.

Great picture Bob, at that age the boys should remember that for as long as you remember working for those folks that gave you the Cub.

My wife hesitated to do this but I told her that a day is coming and coming fast when they won't want to be in a parade. She's already planning for next year. We have friends that have twin girls that are in between our boys in age that will probably be on the trailer next year too.

Bob and Sherry Loncar treated us like family. Bob died on 7/4/2012 and Sherry died on February 29th of this year. I think of them often.

Looks like a lot of fun for everyone Bob! I, like many others here, have fond memories of riding in a trailer while my dad was pulling it with my siblings and myself in the trailer. That is what sparked most of our interest in these wonderful machines. Save that cub, because they will both want it several years from now.

I had some things shipped from Illinois where I grew up to Felton, California where I live now. The 1000 and deck rode free. There aren't many Cub Cadets out here so it is really unique for most people to see.

About a year after I got the 1000 pout here I found a 1450 with a #2 tiller, a 44" deck that was pretty beat up and a Brinly box scraper. I picked up the package for about the price of a tiller in the Midwest. The 1450 was a basket case when I got it. It took some time, sweat and plenty of funds to get it back to working condition. I used it to till a garden for my wife this spring.

The boys can't wait to get their hands on these tractors. They already have the fever.
