2016 Cub Cadet XT3 GSX
4 Attachment(s)
Hi everyone! I'm new to the site and thought I'd post some pictures of my new toy, a 2016 Cub Cadet XT3 GSX. I've only had it a couple of weeks and haven't been able to use it much due to rainy weather. But the little I have used it has shown it to be an awesome machine. The 25hp Kohler engine, power steering, power deck lift, and 54 inch deck make mowing a breeze - not to mention fun. I'd like to hear from others who own this model to see how you like yours. Really enjoy the posts and pictures on this site!

Welcome to OCC! I like the front guard:beerchug:

:Welcome2: Most guys come on here asking for assistance in fixing up the old iron. Kind of weird seeing a brand new tractor on the forum. Don't mean that in a negative way, just not the norm.:bigthink:
Good looking tractor though. Stick around, I want to see how it's working in another 50 years. Oh wait, I'll have been dead at least 30 of those 50 years.:biggrin2: Let's shoot for 10.:beerchug: |
See they still are using an actual driveshaft on some models.....
|
I do like the looks of them. I used to have a Z-Force with a 54-inch manufactured deck. That pig of a deck would not clean out. I did not like the water feature for clean out. So I had to scrape the deck down every time I mowed. What a nightmare. Keep us posted on how it works for you.

Looks nice. How do you open the hood with that grill guard?

Nice tractor! That new colour scheme is growing on me, especially the black deck!
I have the your tractor's predecessor GTX2100 with a JP Sleeve Hitch, works pretty awesome. |
Does it use plastic pivot points? What did they do for a Stop??? When the kids fling open the hood you know what happens next time of thing....
|
OK....Basically the same thing as my 2011 GTX2154LE.
Watch where the rubber stops on the side of the tower rub on that chinsey hood fiberglass. Mine are rubbing holes in it so I make sure the foam sticky tape I stuck on the inside of the hood stay put. Be carefull when choking the engine. The plastic keeper for the cable on the back side of the dash will break and the choke will always keep creeping a little towards the closed side resulting in a rich fuel condition. The headlights will fill up w/dust/dirt. Changing oil is a pain w/that rubber hose and pipe coupling and plug on the end, I gotta do something about that. Be carefull washing it or blowing off w/an air hose. The decals must be stuck on w/gravity Have fun greasing the steering arm at the bottom of the dash, real PITA to access. Other than that..It's a real mowing machine. I can't believe how clean the deck stays. I have about 130 hours on mine so far. I love how it mows, I just wish I did not have so much crap to mow around and more open flat space to mow. Enjoy! |
