New 1450 Owner Few Questions?

Hello everyone, New guy here today I picked up a 1450 to start my cub collection. I am hoping I can use it as my main mower as it is all I have on my acreage but I felt personally that this was a better machine than a box store cub XT1

I got the cub 1450 with Snowblower, Wheel weighs, chains, 44A deck (older style with skids and not wheels) hard cab (needs repaired)

Brought everything home and found out that the mule drive was cracked in the rear no big deal got that welded and repaired but also come to find that the rear hangers have been messed with so I need to rebuild a few hangers for the rear of the deck. but I was excited to get the mower deck on first got everything installed and come to find out that the PTO will not engage at all! so tomorrow when I have light I plan on taking the side covers off and seeing if I can figure out what is wrong with the PTO does anyone have suggestions on where to start or what to look for? or even a wire diagram that I could use as a reference ?

I hope that this was a good decision on my part over a New machine and that I will not regret this decision later on.

First, welcome to OCC......... :Welcome2:

First thing to check is the fuse for the PTO. It should be 15A.

Welcome to OCC!!!
Ain't nothing you can't fix with a little help from the guys here.
Do remember it has a few whiskers that need cleaned up after all these years, but after that you will not be unhappy what you have.
oh and we like pictures :beerchug:

Where is the location of the fuses on this ( Yes IM positive I could find them) but if I do not have to take off more than required that would be great! I will see about uploading some pictures I have them all on cell phone and will get them uploaded. I am really excited to get a rear box blade and do some work to the driveway. along with a tiller attachment for next season.

Just below the dash on the steering tower... black cover marked "fuse". (Most say fuse.)

Wow I just felt like an idiot! yeah I guess I knew they were there! I will check those in the morning. I am also on the hunt for a gator blade number and trying to find a new belt for the mower drive. I know there is a Cub number around here but I wonder if the local parts store can cross it.

Here it is, nothing pretty but as long as I can get everything working on it I think it will do just fine for me.

Hello and welcome! Nothing pretty??? Looks in fairly good shape to me! Like was said, check your fuse, check your connections to the pto clutch. Look an see if any wires are worn in two. Squirt a little wd40 on pto switch on the dash. Again good looking cub! Let's us know what happened.
