126 K301 throttle cable issue
First post on the site and unfortunately looking for some help lol. I did a search but can not find exactly what I am looking for. I also have not purchased a manual yet which I will be buying in the near future.
I picked this CC 126 up this past weekend and trying to get a few things straightened up, first thing on my list is the throttle cable springs. Right now I have the one spring that is connected on the arm that the throttle cable connects to. I seem to be missing a spring that should be connected to the carb itself to pull the throttle closed when you back off the throttle. Here is a picture I took to show what I currently have rigged up, (spring I had laying around and a zip tie). thanks in advance for any assistance, hoping to get the old girl running well. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v2...pssuqjzjcb.jpg |

Here is a link for a free manual here on OCC.
http://www.onlycubcadets.net/forum/s...ead.php?t=4643 Remove the spring that you have rigged up. The governor if it is working properly and adjusted properly should return the engine to idle when you back off the throttle. The linkage should look similar to this pic. |
This is the correct setup for your 126.
http://i152.photobucket.com/albums/s...ps4repgafn.jpg The holes that spring are using may be different on your Cub. It looks like the linkage going to carb is rubbing against the fuel line hose. The tech section has manuals you can download for you Kohler engine and model 126 tractor. |
