Would like all members feedback on my project

I am accumulating parts for Carson's tractor. I am starting with a 1000 QL frame and having it powder coated IH red. I will have the rearend housing as well as all steering components red as well. I am planning to let the tower and the grille/headlight housing white. The rear wheels(23x8.50's) will be white with Carlisle Tru-Power AG's on them. The fronts(4.80's) will be white with tri-ribs on them, I also plan to have the hood as well as the rear fender pan powder coated red, but will paint the fender area white. Going to try to make a 1206 Farmall look to it.Now, here is where I need opinions or advice.I want to use the 1200 seat pan that covers the battery, but want to get the type of seat that's on the 70 and 100 type tractor.Do you think it would look OK or maybe foolish? I also have a Farmall Cub stack that will be put on. My idea for motor is either a 7hp, 8hp or at the biggest 10hp motor. Any other suggestions I should consider?

I think what your doing is great! How could you go wrong? I dont know what a Farmall 1206 looks like so thats as far as I go. But I once thought about reversing the colors of my 72 but didnot. Ya know, white to yellow and yellow to white including the rims. Good luck!

If you're not set on getting an original IH seat, try this website. They have a good selection and good prices. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...-acreage+seats
It sounds like a great plan.

Hey look at it this way. If you have even the slightest bit of doubt. Ingnore it, No matter what Cub Parts go together, It will still the toughest Garden tractor ever made.

I mean come on, It's a CUB.

Even though, I have no idea what those model numbers mean, or what that means it will look like. I think it sounds good. It's defenetly going to be unique. That's a plus.

Thanks
Cody

Any chance you have a picture of the seat you want to add? So far I like the idea of your colour scheme - very sharp looking! :beerchug:

Since you are using a QL series tractor as a starting point, I would paint it up like a 66 series tractor, as that is what IH was building at the time. Maybe a 5 million look alike? I've always wanted to make a red white and gold Demonstrator.

That 1206 does look cool though. Might have to finish off my 100 like that...
