Front axle bushing repair 127
5 Attachment(s)
Installing the front axle bushing rear and engine drive pin on my 127 tractor while waiting for engine parts. No wonder the steering was so loose ane wandered all over the place. The insides of the column looked good except for some wear on on the pin. I know the bushing needs to be welded in yet.

Yeah, I'm thinking a welder will come in handy for this job.:beerchug:

While you have the engine and front axle out you may want to check the motor mounting bolt holes on the underside of the frame, they are known to crack, I've had some that were pretty bad.

I checked the holes, they look ok, but a little wear on the top where the engine was sitting and bolts were a bit loose. I got the bushing welding back in, and Was hoping to get a welder for this and other odd jobs, but it will have to wait. Loaded it on a trailer and had a friend weld it in. I got the rebuilt steering column in and steering all back together. I will throw a little paint on that area. I got all the engine parts and back and will be posting a few pictures of that too.

Looks good, shouldn't be an issue for some time...:beerchug:
