Lighting Problem
 

I have a Cub 1225 and for the life of me I simply cannot get the lights to work.

The switch for the lights in on the ignition switch but they don't work when I turn the Key to the "lights on" position. So I checked to make sure it is grounded and the wires seem to be.

Any suggestions what I should do next? I have no problem rewiring the lights if need be.

Might seem like a silly question but have you actually tested the lights themselves? Perhaps they're non-functional. You should be able to by-pass the switch to make sure they actually work. Or use a tester to see if there's anything getting to the lights.

I may just be an idiot. Pulled the sockets out put some wires to them, put them directly to the battery and... nothing.

Sockets must have something wrong with them. The bulbs are brand new. Guess i'll have to just buy some new sockets.
