8 ply vs 4 ply rear ags?

I have a friend that has offered to sell me some 8 ply rear 26-12.00x12 rear ags to put on my 1782 super... Has anyone ever run the 8 plys on their tractor.. Im worried they may be too stiff to really even flex at all..
I have never run anything on my other cubs but 4 ply loaded with water and about 10psi.. they flex and contour to the ground no problem..

Any ideas, opinions or experiences appreciated! :beerchug:

Personally, I would only run 4 ply tires. The 8 ply is way overkill IMHO.

That's pretty much what I was thinking... only reason I was even considering it was the price... Pretty much all I gotta do is buy him a steak dinner... but I don't want them on there if they aren't going to flex at all or pull well.. Thanks for your input :beerchug:

got a pair of 8's but haven't installed them yet. hope they're ok, couldn't beat the price.

I have 8's on my 1782 and no they are not needed. I've never let the air out of them, but I bet they would hold the 1782 and me up without flexing much. They will dig though. Mine are Carlisle Tru Power if it makes a difference.
