Model 100 hood gap

can someone tell me how much of a gap is their supposed to be in between the grille housing and hood

I would guess a little less than 1/4" on the sides and maybe a little more on the top although they aren't exactly what you could call even all the way around.

Many Narrow Frame model hoods had spacers (like thick washers) welded on the inside at the bolt holes, although I'm not sure the 70/100 series tractors did. Of the 3, 70/100 hoods I have here, one has spacers on both sides, one has no spacers and the other has a spacer on one side. Maybe one of our 70/100 Gurus will be along shortly to tell us for sure.

What kind of problems are you having?

I'm just trying to decide if it needs to be straightened or not

Sam is correct....less than a 1/4 inch on the side and top.

Can you post a picture?
