What brand of battery????

What brand of battery are you using in your Cadet (or other color lawnmowers) that is giving you great service and longevity? I'm referring to the U1 BCI Group Size that I think is correct for "full size" Cadets. I'm not interested in batteries that go in small machines, like a 382 for example. Nor am I asking what you are putting in your F-350 diesel so it cranks at -12 deg with no block heater. I saw in another thread that Napa is having a sale on batteries. In years past we had some Napa batteries that only lasted 2 years. They may have been the cheap ones. I have over 20 batteries I have to maintain (only a few are lawn and garden), I try not to skimp on quality as they get to be a sizeable investment and when I need a machine to crank, I don't have time to mess around. I'm leaning toward an upscale Napa, although I have a Diehard that's got to be pushing 5 years old. Heck I don't care if it's a Deere battery, just looking for good price and quality combo. At the moment, I need at least one, maybe 2 Cadet batteries. Any reccomendations?

I have a deka in my 108 that was in it when I bought it 4yrs ago and it still starts great even in winter, one thing I do that I think adds to the longevity is I have a wing nut on the positive terminal and I unhook the battery when I'm done using the tractor.

I use a Die-hard 340 CCA. 4 + years starting the 125 in winter.

I have had good luck with Interstate and Napa batteries.

I have used Deka 11U1l for years with no problem. They have 350CCA and work great in my diesel supers. Local dealer sells them for under $50.

The NAPA 8227 is a good battery. 350 CCA. $56.00

Just remember a lot of batteries made by Johnson Controls company, have witnessed the assembly lines myself many times. Sometimes no difference between the brands that people are loyal to.

I bought a Huskee from TSC about 3 years ago cuz it had the highest CCA that would fit under the hood. 50 dollars. I ran it completely out a month or two ago, brought it into the house and charged it up, and it's still good. I use it all year round.

I've had good luck with NAPA batteries. I've done even better with them since getting a couple of Battery Tender Jr that stay on them. Even the 125's start right up on cold winter days :beerchug:
