Rear Winch Setup NF 102

My son built me a box scraper for a school project. After attaching it to the sleeve hitch I quickly discovered it was way to heavy to lift using the lift arm.

Bought a 2500 lb winch from TSC this week plus a U-bolt, pulley and J hook bolt.

Might need a bit of weight up front too.

Wow, I like your son's design on the box blade & neat video clip. Hope that he got an A for that one! Looks like a nice setup. The only thing I would have thought to be better was to mount the winch on the cub and not on the implement so that it could be used for different implements on the back.

That's really nice. I like the idea of the winch on the scraper, just for the sole reason I'm not big on mounting stuff on these tractors that isn't factory. I bet that's a lot of fun to use

I was thinking the same, I didn't want to drill a 3/8" hole through the tin below the seat to mount that J-hook but I had to find something to hook the end of the cable to.

Me, too. That is why I would have made a plate for the lower part of the 3 point hitch bracket that faces back and is held in place by upper and lower pins on both sides, mount the winch onto it and then run the cable through a lift pin on the back of the 3 point rocker arm with the hole turned vertical or with a modified pin to hold a pulley. No holes in the cub at all that way.

That thought had occurred but I ran into the following question:
The sleeve hitch and plate suggested would only allow the hitch to be lowered to a level position before hitting the triangular hitch mounted to the transmission.

That is pretty neat!
