Not using cc hydro fluid
 

I bought a PO 149, and have been doing some maintenance on it, A previous post I asked about the check valves, and when I had them out I checked the hydro fluid, and it was low, so I made a note to get some and change what was in it. What if I don't use cc hydro fluid, and put something else in it. I've got a 5gal pail of hydraulic fluid that I use in my log splitter and was wondering if that would hurt it.Thanks

If you choose to something else, that is your decision.

Some of our tractors have been running Hy-Tran for 30 to 40 years now and the hydro's are still running strong. Maybe they would have done that on other fluid, but why take the chance :biggrin2.gif:
