Carb problems
I though this would be a better place to post this. I have a cub cadet 105 with issues i recently i had to fix the compression release mechanism in the motor to get it to start easier but now im having another problem. my carb is blowing air out when i put my hand in front of it i can feel it im not sure what might be causing this problem but my engine wont start. i took a syringe and stuck a little gas into the chamber through the spark plug whole the to se if it would run and it did until the gas burnt up. also if i spray gas into the air intake it will fire two until it burns that gas i checked to make sure there was fuel in the bowl and there is any ideas? im trying to get it ready to do lots of work this spring. thanks!

quick thoughts
I presume you had the cam shaft out to repair the release mechanism.
If you have air blowing back out the carb, two things come to mind, 1) camshaft is out of time 2) intake valve is adjusted too tight. |
I was think out of time. Check your valve adjustment first.

Will do thanks

Carb problem
Try this , pull air cleaner cover off and see if all three screws holding the back plate to the carb are there. If not we can guess where they are now... If they are there then the valves are sticking or way out of adjustment..
