Leaking carb on 126
Hello,
I posted this on here before and got an answer, but I still can't find the problem. Anyway, when I got my Cub Cadet 126 the carb leaked gas out of the air bleed, but only when the motor wasn't running, so I had it rebuilt. Got it back and it did the same thing. I thought the float wasn't pushing the needle up enough, so I took a screw drive and adjusted it, but once it stops leaking it doesn't get enough gas and it dies.:bigthink: Any thoughts? Thanks, Conner |
I'm gonna post the same answer again: Does the float have gas in it? Are you using a fuel filter or sediment bowl? If there is crap getting into the carb, it'll keep the needle from sealing in the seat. I should also mention that on the float adjustment, there is a fine range where it will work. The service manual tells you how to measure and set it.

Yes, it has a filter, and the last time I tried to adjust it it didn't seem that there was anything in the float. I said that on the other thread a while back.
And I will look in the manual. Thanks, Conner |
