Muffler clamp

What is a 125 supposed to have for a muffler clamp? (The clamp that holds the muffler to the exhaust elbow). The one I'm dealing with seems too small or something and distorts the muffler tube causing a leak. Thoughts?

The factory clamp is a band clamp thats about an inch wide.

Although it is not O.E.M., I used a split set collar like this:

Not sure that is the size used, but it does a good clamp without crushing or pinching anything.

The photo that Jeff posted is exactly what I'm dealing with. I think the one I've got has just been abused 1 too many times. Are they still available new by any chance?
If not, I like that shaft collar idea
