982 with knock in engine, 3pt, PTO, plow, no mower

I saw one on craigslist for $1900, no mower deck, has 3 pt hitch, PTO, a plow, has a knock in the engine. Seemed high to me, what do you think?

Way to high! IMHO

I second that motion

Is it an IH built one? PTO and three point are worth some money. Does it have the power assist steering? Dual hydrolics?
It's pretty high anyway cause the engine is junk for buying purposes
Half of that sounds better if it has the things I asked about

It has dual hydraulics, didn't say anything about power steering. Didn't think you could get that on a 982. It's I, and forgot to mention has been repainted.

Not power steering. Power assisted steering. I have held this item in my hand
It's like a cylinder mounted by the rod Didn't work very well

Sounds high to me as well.

I'm a little different.:biggrin2: Cat 0 & rear pto =$1k, cat 0 plow = $200/$250 if it's a true cat 0 and not the cheapo Sears one. That Onan is worth something too. Got any pics.

Oak is right, the parts are worth what there worth that said I still think $1900 for a tractor that needs a new engine is high, realistically $1000 would be better but $1400 and under would probably be OK. Repower option are endless but expect to pay $300 and up for a used magnum or up to $1500 for a brand new engine.
