982 spewing hydro fluid near filter. Why?

982 (986, cleveland, yellow) Runs ok, but when I turn it off, as the pump is winding down, it starts leaking/spraying hydro fluid underneath; fluid runs off the bottom of the hydro filter. When its done making a mess, when I look up under there, it doesnt seem like there's any obvious busted hose or pipe. Could the filter be clogged or something, and its spewing out around the seal? What else could have failed down there? Filter is at least hand tight, but I have no idea when the last time the PO changed the filter. I think it leaks a little while running, but really bad when turned off.

Change the Hydro Filter.

Filter would be under suction while running, once you shut it off if the seal is bad the fluid would leak out.

Pull the tunnel cover and air hose all the crap away. I'm thinking the filter is the issue as well. Guess it could be the seal on the input to the pump or the cork gasket between the hydro unit and the rear. With everything clean it should get a lot easier to find. Careful if you crank it up with the tunnel cover off!!! Sometimes trying to find a leak I place a sheet of cardboard under the drip area so I can line up the leak to whatever is above it!

Also look @ the 2 dump/release valves on top sometimes they leak and run down
looking like a leak underneath

Thanks guys! I'll start with the simplest first, and change the filter.
