Questions about a 107...
 

Just brought home a 107 today and haven't even inspected it other than to make sure that the engine has great compression and isn't seized up. So, here are some quick questions (Thanks in advance for your time in answering them!!):

1) Is the 107 like a 127 and 147, except with a 10 hp engine?

2) Is the rearend ported for hydraulics or what do I need to hydraulically lift blades, blowers, decks, etc.

3) It is missing the air cleaner bracket and cover, will a 12 hp cover fit a 10hp Kohler without a sloppy fit?

4) Is the 10hp kohler strong enough to run a 42" snowblower or should I stick with my 36" snowblower?

Yeah, a 107/127/and 147 are all basically the same except for engine size.

The rear is not ported. Unless you're up for a bunch of fabrication, you'll need to find either a NF electric lift or hydraulic lift.

The 10-14 hp air cleaners are the same.

I'd stick with the 36" thrower. I can stall my 18 hp 782 with my QA-36A if I feed it too fast with wet snow.
