Hydraulic lift speed
 

the lift on this 1811 seems kinda slow and i was wondering if there's a way to adjust the pressure to speed things up? before someone suggests it i already replace the filter and fluid.

This is assuming you have the correct fluid and filter, you can adjust the "charge pump" relief spring. It is item #2 in the image. It can be shimmed to either add or decrease pressure. The procedure is outlined in numerous Hydro Service Manuals.

You do need the shims though.Where do you get them from?

I'm sure not everyone will approve but I cut the head off an 8-32 pan head machine screw.

Oh ,if it is okay to do that.
Did it improve your speed?

Yes the plow lifts better now, its still not great so I'm gonna bring a gauge home And see what psi its running. It seemed to help speed up reverse also.

Pressure has no effect on speed. Only flow. I imagine your pressure was fine and you have another issue.
