Wiring for 1015
1 Attachment(s)
I have completely re wired my 1015 [model 130200100 serial 191378] and am still running into problems
1. The key will not turn off the mower I have to choke it out for it to stop 2. I have a random wire hanging out of the engine (I believe goes to the stator) but was not connected when I got it and it was working. I replaced the starter and battery along with the the re wire and am trying to get the thing going before snow hits. Any help is greatly appreciated I know you guys are mower gods and seek your infinite wisdom. Attachment 69863 |
IF......the tractor is wired correctly, the engine shuts down by grounding the yellow wire coming from the engine via the M terminal on the ignition switch. This is considering the ignition switch is properly grounded.

Is the engine original to the tractor...???
The 1015 rolled out of the factory with a B&S engine, model: 256707, with spec number: 0105 |

Yes it's original

Again, the yellow wire from the engine goes to the M terminal in the Ignition Switch. When the switch is in the "off" position it grounds out (provided the ignition switch is properly grounded) and kills the engine.
NOW...there are two (2) different wiring diagrams for the 1015, depending on the chassis Serial Number range. What is your serial number?? |

Voltage regulator
Thanks for all the help so far...A few more questions. I don't think I have a voltage regulator on my 1015 anymore the guy I bought it from who also butted the wiring must have gotten rid of it...anything off amazon I can use? I saw this when searching "voltage regulator for cub cadet 1015"
VOLTAGE REGULATOR International Harvester 100 1026 104 1056 1066 1086 1206 Cub Cadet 123 Cub Cadet 124 Cub Cadet 125 1256 Cub Cadet 126 Cub Cadet 127 1275 Cub Cadet 128 130 140 1456 1456D 1466 1468 1486 1566 1568 1586 200 230 234 238 240 2400 245 https://www.amazon.com/dp/B00HVF8SXS..._ab6uwbV6V7JZ5 Also does the mower have an alternator and if so where can it be found?? I appreciate all the help guys! |

Well, here is a first for me. In :Work: looking into this, the 1015 uses a 592829 Stator/Alternator (Tri Circuit 9 Amp Regulated). The stator is a charging circuit and regulator rated at 9 amps. Looks like the Black wire with the Green connector, connects to the Red Wire that goes to the R terminal on the Ignition Switch. See attachment...

That is helpful, thank you so much...One last question where is the magneto or what does it look like??
