NF Creeper Gear Shaft Seal Question
Is it possible or has anyone replaced the input shaft seal without tearing down the creeper gear?
Thanks, Rob |
I don't see why you couldn't do it. drill a pair of small holes in the seal, screw in a couple small screws and pry the seal out. Make sure the input shaft is smooth before you slide the new seal over it and then seat it with a deep socket. Keep the drill shavings out of the gears...

Thanks, guys.
I got it to work. What does the spacer behind the poppet look like? This one doesn't look right to me. |

The poppet is the little shift arm that engages the detents on the side of the housing. I've never removed the spacer. But this is what it looks like..

Thanks for the picture.
I was expecting to see a spacer on the handle shaft between the poppet and the creeper housing. That looks like roll pin, washer and poppet with space between the poppet and housing? Sound right?? |
