New brakes
1 Attachment(s)
I finally broke down and ordered some brake relining material from McMaster, my 108 hasn't had brakes for the last 4 years I've owned it so I'm sure it will take some getting use to. I prepped the old pads with a 36 grit grinder and attached the new material with jb weld, I topped it all off with some silver paint since its what I had laying around. Can't wait to get home and install them.

Nice work there. Don't launch yourself over the steering wheel :biggrin2:

Attachment 67833 Nice job on the brake pads.:beerchug: |
I got the brakes on last night but it took a bit of work to make it happen, the 3/16 material is to thick so I had to shave about a 1/16 off each pad just to get them on and even at that I could only get one nut on the brake rods clean at the end. I did mow a bit last night and its really weird being able to stop instantly instead of coasting.

The first stop would have been fun to watch! No whiplash i hope.

Could just get a hydro( I couldn't even tell you if my 149 even has brakes never pushed on the pedal before)
I know you are a gear guy so I just had to get a dig in there while I could :biggrin2: |
