Mounting a K161 in a model 71.

What bolts or hardware do I need for mounting my k161 in a model 71? Is it just bolts or is there rubber grommets for vibration or anything else? Part numbers?
Thanks

Try this link...... Cub Cadet Parts Look Up

Type Cub Cadet as the brand and 71 as the model.

Not sure on size and length of bolts. Just find a bolt that fits and make SURE its not too long. If it is too long you'll break the bolt or casting when you tighten it. And No on the grommets, it is a balanced motor so vibration isn't a huge issue.

The engine in the 71 will be a direct mount from the frame to the engine oil pan with no isolation. It's a 3/8" bolt, but I'm not sure of the length required on the K161 oil pan.

Better yet, mount a K241 or a K301 with 3/8" x 1 1/4" length, 16 pitch, Grade 5 or better bolts and smile with all of the extra performance! I've had a 301 in my 70 for roughly 5 years and love it. Totally different tractor and much more capable and usable with this engine.
