Cub cadet 1282 issues
 

New to this forum but I was hoping you can shed some light on my situation. I went out to mow my grass yesterday and the tractor has been giving me issues for like a month or so but it is really bad now. Like a month ago I realized that it won't rev up unless it's on choke for about 5 minutes and when it gets hot it seems like it has a slight miss. Yesterday I went to rev it up and the whole tractor started to shake and cut off (violently)!!!! Any help????

could be anything from dirty carb,bad gas,dirty fuel filter,worn plug,dirty air filter,deteriorated fuel hose.etc.... you need to do some digging and further diagnostics

ok thank you. It idles fine its just when you go to throw some RPMs at it, it doesnt like it at all!!

It sounds like some sort of fuel issue.

Start with the simple things first. Make sure you have good fuel deliver to Carb. Check the "Tank Shut Off Valve" and see if the screen is plugged.

If so, clean same and install "fresh" gasoline.

In addition, make sure the tank is clean too.

Much like everyone is saying, could be fuel. I noticed similar engine response with low oil levels, and when i need of an tune up. I thought i seen something about a head cleaning from all the carbon build up giving engine some issues in the technical library. I could be wrong. Just some things to look at.
