Cub cadet 125 belt help needed

I recently got on here and found a diagram to go by to get parts for the mower deck on my cub 125. It needed a new belt and the diagram showed the belt as part number 477-599-R2. Well I ordered the belt and when it came in i went to try and install it and it was too short. Does anybody know if this is actually the right belt or is there a different one I need to now order?

That would be the correct belt for the spindles on a 42" deck.

It would depend on which if the two belts on your machine that you are needing and what size deck you have.

Here is the link to the belt chart http://home.comcast.net/~dos0711/CCBELTCHART.htm

You make no mention of the model of the mower deck you are using.

I have got the 42" deck under my tractor. I couldn't even get the belt to go on even with the tentioner pulley completely backed off. Am I missing something else here on installing this belt.

The CPE-2B Parts Manual lists the IH-490489-R2 as the correct PTO belt for a 125 with a 42" QA Mower Deck.

IH-477599-R2 = 1/2" x 77" Spindle Belt
IH-490489-R2 = 3/8" x 80" PTO Belt

Yea I just realized what I did. I was looking at the spindle belt and not the pto belt. Dumb mistake. Well now I know what to order. Thanks all
