Wow! That was FAST!

I placed my order on Monday, got an email confirmation on Tuesday that my package would be shipped on Wednesday, and when I stopped at the house at lunchtime today a nice package was waiting for me!!

I unpacked the boxes and here's what I found.

Powder coated and ready to install. The only piece missing that I noticed on my initial look was the pin that connects the liftbar to the ram. I'll be going thru it with a little more detail after work tonite.

By the way, is the bolt pattern the same for all cast iron rearend plates? ie: will a gear drive rear plate bolt right up to a hydro rear end? The offset of the plug on the gear drive plate looks to be positioned better to fab the PTO plate from.

Yeah, the gear drive and hydro rear cover plates are the same. The only difference is the fill plug location.

Looks great, toyman! Can't wait to see them on your 982. The bolt pattern is the same for the CI rear ends. The only difference like you said, is the location of the plugs. :beerchug:

That is going to look great on the Cub toyman

Nice!

Very nice.

Where'd you pick that up from?

I might a line on a 3pt tiller and will need a hitch as well.

That looks pretty authentic....great man!

I was wondering when someone was going to ask! I got it from Ruegg MFG, out of Ohio. They make aftermarket hitches for JD tractors and are trying to break into the market for our Cubs. I exchanged emails with Bill Ruegg and got all the info. He told me that all the hardware wouldn't be there, but the only piece I've accounted for missing, is the 1/2" x 2 1/2" clevis to attach the lift bar to the lift cylinder. The hitches are not listed on the website, you have to call or email to inquire.

Scott - I think you contacted them also? Did you like what you heard?

I got the PTO parts cleaned up last nite. I'm going to put a coat of primer & paint on before I install, and I have a few nuts & bolts to pickup to fab up the rear plate, but I have a plan now, so it should take off.

That looks awesome! Going to go check their site out.

Ok, spent about 2 hours in the shop working on the rear cover. Heres what I have so far.

Need to weld the bolts and figure out how to plug the fill hole (suggestions welcome). Also need to fab and weld on the spring hook.

Looks like you're doing a good job. Can't wait to see more pics. I saved the Ruegg site for future use. Later this summer I'm going to look for a cat O for my 782. I may have to see if he's making them by then.
