73 Electric Lift

I see that IH offered the electric lift option on the 73. I have a 73 and an electric lift and would like to install it. My question is, where would the switch go? Would IH have made a special dash for the electric lift option? Anyone out there have this option from the factory? Thanks for any help!

There should be a chrome knock out in the upper right hand corner of the dash for the lift switch. That was used for the cig lighter or the electric lift switch.

Pretty sure that the elift was not an option for the 73,even says it in the owners manual, not sure how it would work on the low tunnel frame.

I have the "50 Years of Cub Cadet" and it lists it as an option. :bigthink:

My 1970 parts and accessories brochure list it only for the 106 107 126 and 127, but the hydro one is,sure you can put it on,but there will be no guard, and your switch will be below the ign switch, there is a chrome knock out there. Not a good spot for it,I can see the knob getting broken off.

Sometimes these books and illustrations are incorrect. What's wrong with this picture?

To answer your question: It was a 149 labeled a 147, and there's no PTO belt going to the mower deck. You can see the pulleys on the mule drive.

I've got the Book "Original Farmall Cub and Cub Cadet" by Kenneth Updike and that 147 appears two or three times. He described it as a test mule in disguise.
