109 sluggish after 1 hour, vr overcharging coincidentally
So exactly at the same place in my yard the tractor runs sluggish on an incline that makes me work the hydro lever to tweak and keep from stopping. On the flats it's fine but noticeably rough. Also it appears the needle on the ammeter pegs out to the right.
Is it related and just a symptom of a worn out vr? It's the original and battery is new and starts like a champ. Not sure if napa has the right vr with all that I've read about this topic and I loathe electrical issues. |
V r should be 1118988 watch the terminals may be a little different

Could the over charge cause problems with coil or condenser over heating

Makes me wonder if the coil shorting out being on the incline...... fluids within.

Other steeper inclines are fine in the first hour. The only other thing that hpens is that meter pegs out but is just right of center in the first hour

Wondering if as previously posted, the coil is getting hot, shorting out and drawing more current, thus the additional amp charge on the amp meter.
Just a guess here. |
you may have a wire shorting out on the frame when you are on an incline.
check your wiring,BTDT |
Just started it in the garage and it's pegged out on the charge o meter and don't want to ruin a brand new battery
