V/R question on 70

Hi-

Just need to verify that the 'F' tab on the model 70 V/R has the little 'resistor' looking thing attached on the back. see pic.

The PO had it mis-wired I think to the SG and I think this is why.
Thx.

Each terminal on the V/R has a stamped marking that identifies B, G, F, & L.
Look closely until you find these markings.

I saw those Roland and they are consistent with the diagrams in the tech section. PO had scratched in different ID'S which I believe are wrong. So just double checking. I just replaced the field coil in the ST and didn't want issues. So many PO mods on this thing! Thx

You HAVE to go by the markings on the terminals and NOT the physical location. OEM & replacement V/R's have a tendency to locate them in different positions. The diagrams are for indicating which wire goes to which terminal and by NO means does this indicate the actual physical location. Wire your V/R up right and then go from there if testing is needed.
