Serial Number Plate Restoration
 

I am finally beginning the refurbishment process on the 782 that I acquired last winter. One of the many things it needs is a restoration of the serial number plate. The plate is still firmly in place, and the V.I.N. stamping is very readable. The black and silver 'International Harvester Company, Chicago, Illinois' upper part of the plate is worn off.

Does anyone know of how that plate may be restored, or if anyone has a service to duplicate the plates?

I know Steiner sells duplicate blank plates, but they are not for Cub Cadets, and one needs to stamp in their number.
