12 volt electric pto
 

I was wondering if anyone has ever put an 12 volt electric pto on an older cub cadet like a 129 or 149. I have one off of a 1100 and a 1200. The 1200 is a 12 horse k301 kohler with a 1inch crankshaft. The 1100 looks exactly the same as the 1200 but the 1100 is a 11 horse briggs engine. Just wondered it they would work on older cubs.

There are probably not the right tapped holes in the block. You can't bolt the clutch to it anyway because you still need the pulley on the crank for the starter/generator to connect to. You'd also have to do a bit of rewiring. It's more trouble than it's worth, in my opinion.
