I have begun the task of restoring my 149, it won't be showroom perfect. I plan to do a quick carwash overhaul and use spraycan paint. But I do plan to add a few mods to it.

I have been looking for the timong mark and I found it.
It's on the back side. |

This is as far down as I am going to go with it, so far everything looks good.
How far can I tow this frame?? The carwash is about 2 1/2 blocks away, can I tow it that far, or do I need to load it up and haul it? |

Also the battery box is rusted badly so it will go to the body shop for repair.

I would definitely trailer it that far. While you have the fender assembly off it's a good time to update the trunion, cams, and seals if they need attention. I'm in the middle of a 149 partial restore myself.
Just a thought....Wayne |
Please keep us updated on your progress, Pat.

I don't see any oil leaks anywhere, so I don't think I'm going to mess with the seals. |

Well I decided to pull the trans/axle anyway so i can haul it easier. Used my garden trailer to take it to the carwash for a bath.
I am glad I did, it allowed me to get under it and give it a good bath. |

Now for a little rattlecan paint. After it dries I'll flip it over and paint the topside.
