Don't know where to start?
Got my first Cub Cadet model 123 and don't know quite where to start on restoration. Don't know if engine even runs. Need battery. Took carb off and soaked it in Berryman cleaner for an hour. Don't know whether to get a rebuild kit or just get a new carb? I see some pitting on main nozzle area. I can see me posting an awful lot on here and I apologize if I seem needy lol. By the way carb is A237772. What rebuild kit would I need. And if I wanted to replace carb, what's the cheapest carb out there that will work?

I dont see you needing to replace the carb but it's possible. There are some on ebay pretty cheap. And pretty well all the k series carbs use the same kit. Its a needle valve a needle valve seat a rubber o ring and a rubber flap deal that goes in it (you will see when you pull the valve. In my honest opinion before tearing down for a restoration I would get it to be a good solid worker then worry about tearing it down. Good luck with it and those are solid machines!

Engine as well as hydro, steering, pto, and steering. Get those all down and all that's really left is making it purdy. Unless you plan on doing a 100% nut and bolt restoration then tear it all apart and rebuild everything
