Float on a front blade

Is there away to lock out the float when using a Haban front blade on a Cyclops super like a 2084 or 2086? I want some downforce to do some light grading.

Never mind, I see by the search on the forum locking out the float on a front blade is not recommended.

On my manual lift tractors I can apply pressure down holding the lift arm, apply pressure.

Don't know if you can do so with the hydro. Perhaps add weights to the plow / dozer blade? You did say light grading.

My long gravel drives need grading and rolling and I also use a plate tamper. :beerchug:

If you need light down pressure, your best bet it to add a small amount of weight to the blade itself as tankman said. Otherwise, like you've read, using the lift rod to apply down pressure will result in a bent lift rod; ask me how I know :biggrin2:
