Towing with a Cub Cadet 122

Hi guys,

I need to haul compost. Would a cub cadet 122 tow about 1200 pounds?

thanks Thad

Short answer: Yes

Doesn't take much to tow 1200 pounds, especially if it's on a trailer. Your 122 will handle that with ease.

The 122 Will tow it if you can maintain traction. Just make certain you can stop it.
Edit: I'll elaborate a bit here for the safety issue involved. Locally we had an operator of an older, larger tractor miss a gear, brakes would not hold the load and he rode the tractor down a hill and crashed it. He did not survive.

I pulled a small dump truck with my 125 about 1/8th mile with no ill effects. Go for it.

I agree, It will pull until it runs out of traction.

Stopping it is a WHOLE different ballgame. Please be careful.

I've moved my 18' fiberglass I/O boat with my 125 ( loaded 10.50s and 65 lb wheel weights ).

Moving was not a problem but stopping was shall we say "exciting". The weight just pushed me forward with the wheels going full reverse.

I use the Jeep to move the boat. Be careful
