I work for the VA, I order the groceries for the Kitchen at a VA Hospital.
At home I grow Giant Pumpkins and hold the current Oklahoma State Record at 685 lbs. At fact I am getting the patch ready this weekend, I have it tilled once but I need to till it again. I also raise a small flock of Chickens. |
I work for the Dept Of Transportation in Pennsylvania doing this in the winter on I-80...
http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...2235Medium.jpg In the summer I run dump truck, roller and skid steer as well as labor while fixing roads, ditches etc. I like to drag race, but last year,I was so busy building a new garage, I didn't have any time for the racing.. My garage... http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...2895Medium.jpg racecar... http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...s/100_2975.jpg I also do all the work on my Cub as well as my mom's,sons and mother in laws, also seem to be the go to guy on my one neighbor who has no idea of what a mower does but mow grass. She can't help it though... http://i196.photobucket.com/albums/a...2890Medium.jpg |
I drive a Chevy SIlverado pickup all over the midwest, and occasionally the rest of the US as a pilot car operator. I am the guy with the big pole attached to my front bumper measuring bridges, overhanging trees, and wires that goes ahead of the big loads. Occasionally I get to steer the back of 13 axle rigs with a remote from behind the load so we can get around some of the tight corners and close signs road engineers like to put out there to make our life more fun. I am also the dude who cuts folks off when they try to pass us in a dangerous spot, like when we are approaching a narrow bridge or we have oncoming traffic. I get told I am number one on occasion.
THe best part of it is I get to read Craigslist wherever we go and once in a while I find some neat stuff out there. The bad part is I'm not home enough to really work on the Cubs as much as I want to. in my spare time I take care of a few rental houses my bro owns here in TX, and the Cubs come in handy for that. |
This is some of the stuff I work on for the last 35+ yrs.....

I am a Alberta farm kid, I help my dad work on all our machinery, as well as put the crop in the ground and harvest it. I also work on our farm as a cattleman. I am in 4-H, and have been doing 4 projects a year since I was 9. I now own a small business doing small engine repair, as well as lawn and garden tractor parts and service. Oh, and I still manage to go to school

I retired from the Army in '06, and now work for a fraud investigations firm.

I have worked for the last 15 years as a service adviser at a large Ford Lincoln Mercury dealer ship. I had worked as an automotive installer, service adviser and assistant automotive manager at Sears for 24+ years. I grew up in southern Illinois on a farm and farmed until got out of college. Now I am thinking of retiring the first of the year and enjoying working on lawn equipment and playing with the cub.
